Niches Urbaines
A la croisée de l’écologie sociale, de l’architecture et de la performance artistique, le projet Niches Urbaines vise à renouveler les représentations du repos en ville et des dormeurs de rue. Concrètement, à partir d’une série d’explorations, il s’agit de voir comment, tout simplement, on peut s’arrêter dans l’espace public. La notion de « repos actif » intègre la possibilité de se relâcher dans un environnement « dynamique ». Comment prendre du repos tout en « faisant corps » avec les structures et les énergies urbaines ? Le travail en studio approfondit les rapports entre passivité et activité corporelle; celui dans l’espace public transpose ces propositions in situ, leur conférant une dimension sociale.
“Actif Rest” is a notion that i use to design a resting attitude into a actif or urban environnement. How can we rest into- and respecting the structures and the energy of a city ? This works is linked to the project “Niches urbaines”, at the crossing of social ecology, architecture and performance, that aims to renew the representations of the « resting » in the city. In the studio-work, we deepen the relations between body activity and passivity (supports and weights); the performance in public space transpose these propositions, giving them a social color.
